About me
A seasoned brand and communications strategic leader with over 30 years experience in agencies and, more recently, running an independent consultancy working directly with brand and business clients.
Agency leadership as Chief Strategic Officer/Head of Planning at six agencies: AMV.BBDO ,180 Amsterdam, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leagas Delaney BlueHive (now GTB), and Mission Media.
I was the strategic force behind the long running Guinness 'Good things come to those who wait' campaign (Surfer, Swimblack et al) and for Dulux Paint ("You find the colour we'll match it"). I've also run strategy and planned campaigns for Smirnoff, Pilsner Urquell, and too many car brands to mention.
Running my own business has taken further afield working with Twinings in Melbourne and Milan, designing and launching a Whisky in Nigeria, and running Rexona campaigns worldwide for UniLever.
I'm a Director of Cooper Bikes, and an Associate Director of CloudArmy a neuroscience branding and research specialist.
Outside work I'm married to a languages teacher, and a father of five.
My ambition remains to find the odd hour or so to myself at weekends. ... Fat chance.
