About me

I grew up in the midlands surrounded by a world of different cultures, people and fashion. My love of photography started at the age of eight when my Grandpa gave me my first camera and indulged me in his hobby. Over the next few years I shot numerous photographs and made short films of people, landscapes, animals and events. I developed the ability and understanding that photographs can not only portray an image but also a depth of meaning and emotion to them which challenges the observer to think about what they see. This passion lead me to undertake an extended diploma in photography after I left school where I excelled in showing the diversity of fashion using the medium of both photographs and film. At the age of seventeen, I shot for Canon at London Fashion Week 2015 as well as organising and conducting shoots for Alias Fashion and Catriona Stewart Clothing. To expand my experience I also undertook some freelance wedding and portrait commissions.

I have recently moved to London after living in Cornwall for four years where I graduated in June 2020 with a 2:1 in Fashion Photography BA Hons degree at Falmouth University. Here, I have consolidated my knowledge and gained a greater perspective into the art and all of the equality and diversity of the fashion photography industry and it's expectations. I have taken a particular interest in the role and perception of women photographers in this mainly male orientated profession in my theoretical work. I have developed my own individual style whilst integrating a wide variety of the required elements of client expectations and briefs and have arranged and conducted shoots for Chloe Sheppard's collection 'Moral Panic' and The Hive Management, London. I am looking forward to a career within which I can constantly strive for and experiment with new ideas in which to depict the many exciting changing faces and dynamics of the fashion industry.
