About me

I have been writing scripts and prose for roughly six years and my ambition is to become a scriptwriter. After three years of gradual improvement I decided to go to university in order to speed up that improvement. It has been hugely beneficial, especially for the amount of practice and critical analysis I get, as well as the qualification at the end. Although I have concentrated mainly on comedic work within my course, I have also had to write more seriously for some modules which has broadened my skills and informed my comedic writing too. I am due to complete the course in May 2008 and graduate later in the year.

My other interests include sport. I am the captain of two amateur football teams, one of which I set up. We are hoping to attempt to break the world record for the 'longest football match' later this year. I am also an ardent music fan and a self-taught pianist, drummer and guitarist. I am trained in music production and audio engineering and have worked in recording studios, both as a musician and technician.

My main passions, however, are also the simplest - talking and observing. I love telling and hearing stories, jokes, opinions, anything. I get a lot of my ideas for writing from stories and experiences that people have told me about. I'm addicted to gaining information in all forms from all types of people and places. Talking, listening and observing are the basis of everything I do well whether it be in the workplace or in outside life.
