Partnering with the Palace Museum in Beijing, Yili came to us to create a limited-edition packaging for their premium organic milk brand, Satine, to celebrate the 600th Anniversary of the Forbidden City.

The Palace Museum encompasses several centuries of History. We identified the opportunity to showcase the ancient Chinese way of living, bringing to life old traditions while infusing a sense of modernity, exclusivity and premiumness associated with this unique place.

Finding inspiration in the traditional and highly symbolic architectural elements of the Forbidden City, we developed a range of six unique packaging designs. The combination of golden illustrations and deep green colour brings together tradition and modernity while infusing boldness, elegance and heritage into the mix. *Illustrations and animation created by our partner Tree Studios.
