I provided all the illustrations for this project. I was commissioned to produce full colour illustrations that are fun and exciting that can help break down gender stereotypes in children.
Book description:
Can only girls love pink, playing with dolls, and reading books?
Can only boys be tough, cut their hair short, and enjoy getting dirty?
Definitely not!
Boys and Girls promotes equality by teaching children that they should always do whatever brings them enjoyment and happiness – regardless of their gender.
CLIENT REVIEW
Gemma illustrated my first children’s picture book and she set ridiculously high expectations for any artist who follows. She completely understood the essence of the book and her attention to every minor detail was exceptional, creating perfect illustrations that surpassed anything I could have possibly imagined. I was truly amazed by her ability to capture the distinct personalities of different characters within still images and without me even providing this direction to her. Not only is she an incredibly talented artist but she was so accommodating, easy to work with and dedicated to providing the best outcome for the illustrations and her client - nothing was too hard or too much trouble. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking extremely high quality artwork and wishing to deal with a wonderful person.
