About me

Poet, actor, writer, producer, director and university lecturer, Mr Ossa Earliece was Producer with Alie Studios Limited, Port Harcourt where he was involved in producing a series of TV shows and then Creative Director with Atma Multimedia and Marketing Communications Ltd also in Port Harcourt where he coordinated concepts and productions of ads and commercials. Prior to these he had worked with the most respected professor of playwriting, late Ola Rotimi as a founding member of the African Cradle Theatre, ACT in Ile-Ife, Nigeria and as Artistic Director with EarthPot Kulture Music Dance Theatre in Benin City, Edo State.

At the University of Port Harcourt, Ossa Earliece taught playwriting, dramatic literature, sociology of drama, speech and voice training.

A consummate arts administrator, he chairs the Screenwriters' Guild of Nigeria, SWGN, Rivers Chapter and doubles as director, Creative Studio Workshop, CSW, Port Harcourt. He has published a number of plays among which are, Nekighidi a Benin Historical drama (2001) Bards Culture Company, Benin City; and Nun of the Above (2010) Dept. of Theatre Arts, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Among films he has written are, To Rise Again (2001); True or False: the Rhesus Factor; The terrorist (2002), Adesuwa (2009), Invasion 1897: deposition of the last African King (2012), Ebomisi: Chronicles of a vagabond God (2016), Idia (2017), Gbege! (2020) amongst many others.

He is CEO NuCRAFT Multimedia Systems Limited, and Executive Director, Arre-Africa both in Benin City, Nigeria. He is also Program Coordinator, Benin Film Academy, Igbinedion University, Okada.
