About me

I am a recent graduate from the Public Relations and Communication degree at Solent University.

I worked at a consistent 2:1 grade across the three years of my degree and received this grade as my final classification. I have developed skills in producing social media content for various social media platforms through my degree and teenage years spent on the internet. I have a YouTube channel, for which I do all the filming, audio and editing myself and a website which contains my blog and portfolio.

Through short term contracts, volunteer work and building campaigns in my degree, I have developed skills in assessing the needs of a broad spectrum of target audiences. I have used analytics and data from various sources to assess the needs of perceived and actual target audiences for a breadth of consumers: from people shopping for carpets, wanting a career in the performing arts to finding a perfect vegan afternoon tea.

In the summer between my first and second year at university, I helped project manage the renovation of a house for a family. This included getting involved in and overseeing many aspects of the design, cleaning, removal of past occupants' furniture, being point of contact for tradesmen and the move into the home. This increased my interest in an internship position the following summer with Elliotts Brothers. At Elliotts I volunteered in the marketing department which included researching environmentally conscious and sustainable building materials and building practices to aid with the company's existing sustainability efforts.

I also maintain my own social media channels on Twitter and Instagram, which can both be found under the username eidasnibleb. I am very passionate about the environment and sustainability, having written my dissertation on the impacts of greenwashing on consumer perception. I have a section to my blog about being more environmentally conscious and cooking more plant-based food, under the category Veg Lyf and Eco Lyf. My website also hosts my portfolio, showcasing some of the work I have done over the years.

As you will see from my CV, I have many years of experience in making drinks and sandwiches, as well as getting involved in other aspects of a business besides my original role. In my previous job, I was employed as front of house staff in tearooms. I like to stay busy while at work so I used my social media and cooking experience to broaden my duties to include kitchen staff, bar staff, social media content generator and baker as required.

I run a small not-for-profit shop selling small handknitted items to raise money for the 4Louis Foundation, a charity close to my family. I manage all the maintenance for this shop including creating the branding, making the items, listing them on Folksy and all aspects of admin work as needed.
