Managed as a team the full localisation services of Control, including translation, review and LQA from English into 12 Languages, as well as voiceover for German, Spanish and French.
Due to the size and urgency of the translation project, we split the responsibilities into languages, so I was responsible for the selection of the translators and reviewers for the games dialogue and in-game text into Japanese, Korean and Simplified and Traditional Chinese, ensuring that these linguists were able to carry these into their languages. I was also responsible for maintaining all communication between the developers and these linguists, ensuring smooth communication and thorough understanding of the game and story among the linguists. We also shared responsibilities for the management of the voiceover process, so we were all involved in listening to audition tapes, checking for issues with the delivered files etc.
Control was met with positive reviews from critics, with several gaming publications naming it among their top games of 2019. The game was nominated for numerous video game awards, including several in the Spain-based Titanium Awards.
