About me
I've only just gone and done it!
I was on my way to be the next hotshot screenwriter carefully crafting independent and artsy stories. Sitting in quirky cafes sipping on macchiatos finding inspiration from the bustling life around me. It seemed reachable I was studying a Digital film degree. During my time at University, I started working in the hospitality industry and was enjoying what I was doing more than my degree. I was problem-solving, providing people with an incredible experience and my ideal career shifted.
I now wanted to open a bar selling botanical cocktails, with plants hanging from the ceiling complemented by industrial decor but still, something felt wrong.
I started searching for careers in design because I was a little jealous of the design students at my Uni and a few minutes later I came across Flatiron school. My initial question was what on earth is UX or a UI
I was being creative, curious and playful. I was asking myself what is it I need to learn next to overcome the current problem
I presently have skills in Design Thinking, Human-Centred Design, Lean and Agile methodologies. I am capable of Prototyping, Wireframing, Responsive Design, User Testing and Usability Testing. As well as using software such as Figma, Sketch, Semplice, Google suite, Keynote, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Invision.
As my career moves forward I intend to learn new software, widen my knowledge in Design and hope to share my learnings with younger generations through interactive workshops and my writing on medium.
