About me
Recently graduating with a first class degree in Film and Tv Production, I'm an individual with a true passion for screenwriting, taking the first steps into a career in film and television.
I have experience script reading for the popular and long running BBC One show; 'Moving On'. I was also lucky enough to work closely with the writers, producers and heads of production in the early development stages of the BBC One show 'Pitching In'.
Coming into the summer of 2020 I began developing original scripts for the upcoming London based theatre company 'Slap and Tickled'. These pieces would be inspired by different topics and themes provided by the company for influence. My main piece was performed by a promising aspiring actress and posted on their social media page, which was very well received.
In other areas of the field; I have also worked as a casting assistant at 'Michelle Smith Casting' in Manchester. This role required me to multitask a number of different admin jobs, monitoring and managing emails from high profile clients, calling up talent's agencies, maintaining a strict schedule and typing up 'casting call' posts sent out on social media.
During three years study, a range of experience in the field - and seven years' work experience in office and hospitality roles - I have developed into an all-rounded individual with ingenious writing skills, innate initiative and real dependability, alongside a practical and theoretical knowledge of the industry I intend to thrive in. Long-term, my one true ambition is to succeed as a screenwriter, and will demonstrate absolute commitment to see my words brought to life on screen.
