About me

Hi, I'm Lesley McLean. a freelance writer, editor and proofreader

I love working with words and have 30 years experience working with them to offer clients or employers who are in need of the right ones.

I'm an experienced writer, editor and manager, and my experience stretches from working on content for Government communications, to journalism for Scottish newspapers, and managing editorial for a large UK greetings card manufacturer.

I'm motivated, dedicated and lot of other -ed words to do with work. Resourceful and well organised, I've an excellent record in producing publications and strategies, running projects and developing staff. I'm a self-starter who can work quickly and according to brief, with an understanding of the importance of corporate tone, and with the ability to adapt to change.

I'm happy to write, re-write, or simply check there are no mistakes and that everything is in its right place.

Freelance experience has included editorial management and writing for a topical humour card range, advising on content for, rewriting and proofreading an artist's website, as well as aiding designers with commercial blurbs.
