About me

Luke Anthony Rooney is a London based womenswear designer who likes to explore the use of texture, colour and surface design. His textile expressionism is offset with an expert cut. Complex panelling is featured heavily within the brand.

His work is an exploration of silhouette, form and application, taking inspiration from gaiety, frivolity and a sense of fantasy. His designs connect considered construction and technique with an exuberant and joyous spirit. Mixing hand techniques with creative cutting and stitching, the designs take on different dimensions.

Historical movements and moments in popular culture influence Luke's work aswell as a high technical standard within design.

Luke has received fabric sponsorship from Christian Lacroix and collaborated with Andrew Logan on jewellery every season. Luke has received Art and Design Research Institute sponsorship for SS18.

Luke shows his collections on schedule during London Fashion Week with On|Off Presents supported by the British Fashion Council.
