About me
I am looking for work in the communications and media industry. In particular, within the fields of PR, broadcast journalism, radio journalism and TV presenting. I have a First Class Honours degree in Journalism (BA) from Leeds Beckett University. My course was both BJTC and NCTJ accredited. At the moment, I am doing an MA in Public Relations and Strategic Communication at Leeds Beckett. As well as this, I am also doing an internship with AC-PR and Creative Boutique as a fashion PR and Marketing Executive. I regularly presented and reported for the Leeds Hacks news-show which was broadcast on the big screen at Millennium Square. As a result, I won an award at university for 'best TV presenter' on my course. I was also the Tourism and Leisure Correspondent for the Leeds Beckett business magazine. In addition, I filmed a documentary on how the red light district in Leeds, affects the surrounding area. I have been lucky enough to have had work experience opportunities at ITV Calendar, Capital FM and the Lancashire Evening Post. 'The Gin Club' is available online, a magazine I created with three other colleagues. Recently, we were put into groups and appointed by IKEA to create a solution for the rising problem of students being harmful to the environment when moving out. My group and I came up with a project for them which led us to win.
