About me
While it is true that I currently make my way in the world as a Creative Director, a more true description would be Strategic and Creative Director. While there are the expected Pepsis and Johnson & Johnsons of my career, the more pronounced area(s) of expertise would be within the expanded category of tourism, hospitality and design.
Insight, strategy, immersion and words. As a Creative Director, this is my true area of expertise. Ideas, are merely my talent. Three decades of a proven award-winning, pitch-winning track record in effective communication and thinking.
I have been fortunate to work across a multitude of clients across various categories. Museums, global tourism campaigns, healthcare, finance, hospitality, wildlife and conservation, airlines, retail, start-ups, multinationals and global coporations. currently the Creative Director for various regional and global projects for Dubai Tourism, the Creative Director for Abu Dhabi Arts and Culture which includes a roster of museums including the National Performance Art Centre and which at its earliest inception included the Louvre and Guggenheim. (Now that the latter museums are established as individual entities, this is no longer an active brand for me but the legacy of experience of course remains.) To round off a clutch of Tourism Authorities, my earlier Middle East career also included the brands of Incredible India! and Tourism Ireland.
Complementary to this, would be hospitality and airlines. I have held creative stewardship of the St Regis, Kempinski, Starwood Luxury Hotels, Jumeirah Group, as well as the creation, launch and marketing of the luxurious Shaza Hotels brand - one the world's first in the multi billion dollar halal tourism category. Augmenting this very broad hospitality focus is a clutchful of aviation clients: Qatar Airways, Air Arabia and the strategic development of Kuwait's first and business class only airline, Wataniya Airways.
Personally, I write and perform my own poetry and have had a screenplay optioned and presented at Cannes. I am currenly flexing my mind studying garden design and urban landscape. That's it. That's more or less the work side of me.
