About me

I am a young & dedicated individual with a strong passion for Social Media with a wide array of international experience under my belt. Having moved away from my birth place of Sri Lanka at a very young age, I lived in 6 different countries where I studied & eventually ended up working.

After graduating High School with the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2010, I moved to Manchester for my Undergrad degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. Having completed that, I moved on to Sydney, Australia where I completed my Master in Marketing specialising in Social Media Marketing. Upon graduation, I started working for the Social Media team at Samsung Australia where I worked for 2 years.

I have now moved back to my home country of Sri Lanka and managing the Social Media accounts for one of the biggest F&B companies in the country. I am equipped with both the book knowledge from my Masters, and industry knowledge of having worked in the Social Media space in Australia and now in Sri Lanka.

Having lived across multiple countries, I have come across a wide variety of individuals and personalities. This has made me very sharp on my Interpersonal skills as this is a must when it comes to dealing with groups of people who comes from various backgrounds and cultures. Along with that, I have high level of time management skills as this is a necessary skill for someone who was working/studying and playing 1st XI sport for a club and university Cricket teams.
