ABOUT

Her hair reminds me of an advert for a hair product I saw years ago.

It feels good to look good, to be surrounded with all the glamour and glitter of high life.

We wear and parade the gorgeous clothes to satisfy a primitive desire, using the perfect expression to support a fragile audience.

Over time, we would've successfully built ourselves a cage made from invisible grills of materialistic needs and a haughty mindset.

In the end, we become a model in a transparent prison.

I listened to a song that I once played on loop a few years ago when I was making this piece. Somehow, I felt that this song would be appropriate with how and what I was feeling when I made this. Actually, I never thought I would ever feel like this again, but this time, I am able to put all that I'm feeling into what I create. Something that I was unable to do before. I guess the amount of blue in her hair, represents my tears....

To enjoy the song, read the translated lyrics below and listen to the melody of the song, preferably with earphones and in a quiet and dimmed room. (or you can also be looking out into the night on your verandah, like me)

Sometimes something different to our norm can mean so much and move our soul. If there is a way for me to share what I'm thinking and feeling, it would be the melody of this song.

Let me know what you think of it.

Song: www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=7LBUcOVmD6A

Wear and parade the gorgeous clothes to satisfy a primitive desire
Using the perfect expression to support a fragile city
I chillingly accept your anxious wait and I am confused too
Just like those models living in the showcase

What else can I see aside from the light?
What else can I ask for aside from the brightness?
Who else can I rely on aside from you?
What are you shouting from a thousand miles away?
What will you want to remember after a thousand years?
Can I see that moment again before I leave?

Remember that your eyes will be bright again
And my arms will be waving for you
Who says there are already no options in the world?
While we have the chance,
We'll sing a few minutes of love song
It's nothing much but at least it's proof we're still alive

Like a simple butterfly flying for the roses
Like a naughty cat sleeping for tomorrow's curiosity
Even if its a chaotic period or a transparent prison,
Can't continue being a model in a display case

What else can I hear aside from the wind?
What else can I reject aside from the dust?
Who else can I rely aside upon you?
What are you shouting from a thousand miles away?
What will you want to remember after a hundred years?
Can I see that moment again before I leave?
