Dave was given my details by a friend and we met for a drink to talk about his story Penelope Pondhead.

He had a look in mind and asked me to come up with some sketches to see if I could match that vision. Luckily he loved what he saw and I set about breaking his story into a format suitable for a book and then working out what each illustration would be.

I worked with him through the storyboarding through to the final images making sure everything looked as wanted.

Once we'd got all the illustrations in place I created the book layout for him ready for the printers.

Once published we went to a couple of schools to draw and read the books to the children. It was a great experience.
