About me

My name is Alex Churchyard, I have a bachelor of science degree in Film Production Technology with honours from Staffordshire University (2:1). I have worked in the filmmaking industry professionally since 2012 - I was a freelancer for 3 years working for companies such as SCIE and MyHairDressers. Since 2015 I have been full time as Head of Media at MHD Productions Limited - there I take charge of all the media, film/edit/animate their videos for MyHairDressers, MHDPro, Mhdacademy (now closed) as well as other clients of theirs such as Go Paperless and EnergieX.

I have run video shoots and have lead a camera crew in shooting a live event at the YouTube studios in London. I have previous experience using Final Cut Pro although I now use Adobe suite specialising specifically in Adobe Premiere, I do also use Adobe After Effects and Photoshop daily. I have some limited experience using InDesign and illustrator as well.

I am also an independent filmmaker - I made a documentary in 2011 which was screened for a number of large organisations including Goldman Sachs. I've more recently Co-Directed a film titled "I Scream on the Beach!" which is been shown at a number of film festivals in 2020.
