Fill In is a cocktail bar on the island of Kos. It stands out for its high end interior design, the expert staff and the great cocktail and food menu. Fill in logo has been a challenge for us since the market of cocktail bars is saturably drawn in specific lines and symbols. Our approach has mostly been based on the idea of ​​getting away from the norms that dominate visual communication in this market.
We avoided any symbol that could be associated with glass, straw etc as well as the one-size minimal design.
We created a signal including the meaning of “embedding” by working with I as a symbol contained within F to make the meaning of Fill appear.
We designed both characters with a purely classic look and we gave them two coats to give the elegant, premium and luxurious element.
We created a typography where “in” functions as an exponent of “F”. We came up with this structure for the logo, in order to remind the mathematical operation of exponentiation mimicking the concept of “in” w
