About me
I have been a Event and Marketing manager for Inspired Through Sport for a year and a half. I am managing the French division of the #GivingBack programme that support over 400 Team GB and French Athletes in their journey to the Olympics, providing them access to services in order for them to focus on their training. I'm in charge of increasing the number of events in France consisting in schools visits to motivate and inspirer kids to have a healthy lifestyle and practice more sport daily.
I am supervising the sales and fundraising effort in order to achieve targets and raise money for the programme. Each school who host a visit can organise a fundraising to support the athlete and receive a new sport equipment. My task is to make sure the schools receives instructions and marketing material to run a good fundraising and achieve their target. For this I need to build a good relationship with the participants and deliver perfect pre and post event relationship and communication. We hold around 50 events a month and the number is in constant evolution.
Each event is monitored and i keep track of every data from the number of kids taking part to the amount of money each of them raised. I am also invoicing the schools after each event and keeping track of each fundraising in our database.
For this position I am in charge of the marketing and social media. I supervise the translation of every document from English to French (fundraising material, invoiced, email blasts, newsletters...). I am also planning the social media campaign in order to post pictures of our events on Instagram and Facebook and the programme's blog.
I'am managing a team of two people in the French division and supervise them to insure that the project run smoothly and that the target are hit. I also work closely with my colleagues from the English team to ensure the project is following the same directions and updating them on where we stand.
Events and Marketing campaigns is an area of expertise that I am very proficient and have had experience in companies such as Jeudi Niortais Music Festival and Architecture magazine "Architecture à vivre" in France. In both these roles I gained experience organising and promoting events, creating content for the client's website and blogs and developing their online presence. Those skills will be a great asset to support your communication team.
For the position of Event and Marketing Coordinator for the architecture magazine, "Architecture à vivre" I was responsible of the organization of an annual event called "Les journées d'architecture à vivres" which allow people to visit houses build by architects, meet them, learn about the project and exchange. This event is held in France and Switzerland and attract between 10000 and 15000 visitors. This position helped me to develop costumers service skills, having to answer enquiries from visitors before and during the event. One of the biggest tasks in term of relationship building was to liaise with the architects in order to make them participate, and then get all the informations related to the project presented during the event. This also required a lot of organization and being able to manage multiple tasks and people at the same time. I was also responsible of the promotion of the event toward specialized websites, blogs, social media and television in support of the press relations manager.
All those skills helped me to go forward and become an even better Event and Marketing Coordinator. I used my experience to hold the position of radio manager for the supermarket chain, "System U" where I had to manage the recording and broadcasting of the advertising for all the supermarkets in France. This position pushed me to acquire the capacity to work within a team, liaising with all the different departments of the company and test my ability to work under pressure and short notice.
In my last experience as Events and Marketing Coordinator I worked for a music festival in France. I was responsible for the organization of the event, supporting the team event, liaising with bands, promoters, and partners. I was in charge of the planning of the concerts and the promotion of the event, through social media. This experience required to be able to work in short notice and think quickly to solve the problems I was facing.
Not long after arriving in London, I started volunteering for a music website as a PR and events officer. My task was to increase the promotion of the online platform using press relations, social media and events. We also organised the launch event of the plateform for which I helped finding the location and liaise with the bands. This experience helped me to familiarize with English media.
