My experience making this project was wonderfully free.

The British Design Museum were staging a retrospective of the fashion designer Paul Smith’s work and wanted a film to run at the end of the exhibition. They pitched it to Sony and Onsite Facilities who both knew a good thing when they saw it and stumped up the money and camera equipment in return for an opportunity to showcase their 4k production capabilities and new TV’s.

Onsight then commissioned Coast Productions who called me, and after a bit of conversation about what form the project could take, we just dived in and got on with it. The crew, from the UK and from Paris, were wonderful and Onsite provided three complete Sony F55 cameras and all the ancillary equipment I could have wanted.

I loved making this film.
