About me

For the past seven years I have been working for a number of top high-street and high-end brands gaining a solid foundation of knowledge in various different aspects of the fashion industry; from design, product sampling, product specification to quality control, all key areas of the critical path. Of all the different areas I have worked in, design has by far been my favourite and for the past three years I have been lucky enough to work in the design team at Aspinal of London.

Here, I am involved in the full design process, starting with the Initial Concept Ideas meeting at the beginning of each season from which we design the latest range of bags and accessories, using the colour pallet and brief for that given season. I then work closely with the product development team to ensure the leathers and hardware developments chosen fit budget and the seasonal brief. Once the selections have been made I work with the factories to create the first initial prototypes and then liaise with them through the critique process to ensure the final product is in line with our CADS and any specific instructions given to the factories.

Seeing the full range of finished products at our press days and knowing all of the hardwork that has gone in behind the scenes to the research, development and creative process of each and every item, right down to the fine details (from edge paint colour, thread colour to placement of our embossed logo) fills me with pride. I love seeing the final products and knowing I have helped to make them come to life. I feel like I have so much more to give and I am so passionate and excited to continue my career in this field in the future.

I will offer you a high level of motivation, capability and commitment combined with a strong passion to create the latest fashion trends. I enjoy working as a part of a team but am also self-motivated and organised enough to work alone and be able to stick to deadlines.
