About me

Ido Garini is the owner and creative director of Studio Appétit. He is Renowned world wide as a pioneer in the integration of culinary art and the act of eating within the contemporary worlds of design, art, marketing and PR. Following work in the hospitality industry, he graduated from design school and continued his culinary education - researching and developing new tools that can be used to create more meaningful and powerful experiences.
As a multidisciplinary designer, Ido aspires to break the boundaries of consumer experience and to explore new ways to connect people with themselves, others, and brands, through multifaceted platforms that integrate products, objects, edibles, space, taste and image. He finds new ways to extend brand experience by creating holistic stories and enhancing them with multi sensory triggers.

In 2011 Ido founded Studio Appétit in NYC, and in 2013 he moved the studio to Europe. Studio Appétit has produced projects, objects, installations and edible adventures worldwide to the likes of mega design brands, hotels, museums and other institutions, galleries, creative & PR agencies, and manufacturers and multinational corporations such as IKEA, Rosewood London, Laufen and V&A Museum to name a few. Studio Appétit consists of 3 main brands: The Atelier, which works through its 'Appetiting Lab' on research, concepts, edible installations, product design and new platforms; -ISM, a creative agency, and Room- Service, a boutique f&b concept house and consultancy for the hospitality industry.

Ido's work has been presented in prestigious international venues and featured in dozens of magazines. In addition to his key role in Studio Appétit, Ido is also creative director of the new Scandinavian design brand RawFinnish and has recently finished a long term art direction collaboration with Rosewood London. He also teaches in MA courses and most recently has begun showcasing personal artwork in a number of galleries in Europe and the Middle east.
