About me

I've worked from the ground up through the VFX industry for the last 19 years. The job is a real passion for me and I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

I've worked at big VFX facilities - where I was exposed to large scale productions with demanding deadlines, crushing schedules and, complicated pipelines. In contrast I've also worked at smaller facilities where the stakes are the same. Large or small I always give my all to a project and a team.

I'm currently working at "Rampage VFX". I'm in charge of most of the incoming shows and play a pivotal role in the company's growth.

I help to Initiate, implement and coordinate new and existing business. Solidifying existing client relationships, following up on sales leads, researching film and television projects, and individuals to identify new leads while building trusted customer relationships. Plus I ran the day to day of the company which included anticipating our needs before issues arise and dealing with them efficiently if they do. I did this by managing the needs of all incoming projects well, including asset assignment, pipeline needs, artist hiring plus the corporate side of the business which included insurance, tax and permits. I bid and create all the shows schedules and track all the incoming projects as well as crew assignments. I closely monitor actuals and I'm excellent at anticipating potential issues before they arise that could cause a change in schedule or create more costs incurred for the company.

I'm experienced in bidding, breakdowns, and scheduling. I thrive under pressure, and believe in focusing on solutions to problems rather than blame. I have had allot of client and studio interaction under my belt and work well with difficult clients. Plus I have onset experience which helps me understand projects more globally.

I'm also creative and I'm used to working with directors on set and in the office to achieve the design and the look of the show desired.

I'm highly organized and a very effective problem solver. I'm a great multitasker and can wear many hats if needed, but I'm not afraid to delegate either.

I work well with people and like being part of a team. I foster a good working/team environment and share information effectively. I have a flexible style so I can be fluid with production issues. I've worked on complicated multi teared VFX projects as well as straight forward ones. I'm a good communicator which helps when dealing with studio's, clients, in house sups, artists and producers which is important for a smooth running show.

Another thing I should add is communication is key for me, not just with production but within our own house. It's imperative to a good running show to have great communication within the show, within our artists and sups to make sure they understand what we are asking of them, and make sure they are up for the task within the schedule we're asking for, and to know when they don't. Plus making sure artists are working to task and don't have down time or are over tasked and if they do adjust. To make a project work all parts or cogs need to work together to make an entire show or moving machine. The whole is often more than the sum of its parts. Communication really is key to all aspects of a show to work well.

My added 4 years of experience of working in the developing field of RF motion capture technologies/business development has given me an in depth knowledge into the technical aspect of motion capture, which would be essential for large shows of that nature. Plus the corporate side of running a business including dealing with VC partnerships and patent filing.

Recently I've expanded into pitch work. I was contracted to create concept and design work for "show runners", "authors" represented by "Rain Management" and studios such as "Dreamworks" to pitch to Hulu and Netflix which could be an added bonus for clients.

I hope you will consider my application. I'm available right away. My resume is attached and if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me. My salary is also negotiable.
