About me

I am an enthusiastic and accomplished Fashion Designer with 17 years of experience in the garment industry, with skills in Textiles and Graphic Design. I am currently managing the design department of a leading women's wear brand, Maybell.

With great interest in various women's wear segments, I also have experience in designing and manufacturing Kids Wear. I have undertaken various uniform wear projects, custom design projects, Corporate Identity and graphic design projects. These wide experiences throughout my career have made me versatile and adaptable to any product line with ease.

A good eye for detail, proficiency in CAD, great interest in motif-print-surface development, good understanding of pattern and drape have always enhanced my work.

- I always keep track of research & analysis of market and fast evolving & changing trends. Reports of sale analysis help me understand the various customer segments and its preferences and product diversifications keeping up with the market opportunities.

- My responsibilities include range planning, guiding and motivating a team of talented designers in developing concept based seasonal collections. Also, styling, in-house print and artwork development, co-ordinating with other departments for developing prototype samples are the areas I indulge on a daily basis.

- Managing various product lines, women's ethnic line consisting of kurtas, SKD, skirts, tunics and bottom wear, maternity wear, sleep and lounge wear.
- I am keen in providing creative direction to the brand, keeping sync with the target segment, bringing in cost control, enhance approval rates of Sample designs thus contributing to the overall growth of the brand.
