About me

I took the National Express to London two years ago with a skip in my step and a song in my heart. It wasn't till three days later that I realised skipping through Oxford Circus while singing show tunes could get you killed.

My quest began at the Writing and Producing Comedy course for the National Film and Television School. It hardened my skin and made me the Luke Skywalker of dealing with feedback. Maybe it's because when you read something out you thought was funny, and no one laughs, you die a little inside.

I started my own sketch group — Tracy's Leaving Party — and took my debut show to the Edinburgh Fringe. A writer from The Skinny saw it and said it was, 'Energetic & Viscerally Funny', which was nice of him. Writing something that will make people laugh for 45 minutes wasn't easy, and it taught me that perseverance and hard work is key when it comes to creativity. I also learned that Edinburgh is cold and if you want to flyer for three hours before your show then a t-shirt and a thin raincoat is a really dumb idea.

The next chapter in my story took me to the offices of Fist of Fury — where I cut my teeth as a junior content creative, copywriter and all-around creative dancing monkey. I wrote copy for financial services companies, composed wacky songs for their Instagram and even wrote, shot, edited and starred in a music video made to pitch to prospective clients. It was just as good, if not better than being a barista.
