About me

I am an experienced operations and creative services professional. I am currently the Business Systems Manager for Workbook (owned by Deltek), our project and resource management software, across AKQA's International region covering 10 offices from London to Tokyo. I am one of 2 senior administrators (the other covering the Americas) within AKQA. I troubleshoot and problem solve issues with the system as well producing key reports on billability, utilisation, client dashboards and resource planning vs revenue forecasted.

I have a wide knowledge of managing financial targets, budgetary management, utilisation and realisation of staff and revenue as well as being able to resource and run a busy studio. I have implemented/managed other project/resource business systems - Planview, Projector PSA and Traffic Live.

Key responsibilities:

- Workbook support and administration across the International region from new user set up to working with finance on client and project actuals to troubleshooting problems users are having with the system.

- I am responsible for the implementation of all upgrades and for identifying areas for improvement from configuration changes to influencing product roadmaps

- Data and reporting: Production of reports, including billability and utilisation across the region and helping users with report generation in Workbook and Excel

- Trouble shoot issues that arise, escalating as necessary to workbook, via slack and email

- Business support materials and training: Development of training materials for all types of users and updating our confluence how to guides

- Own production and maintenance of all internal documentation related to operational practices, processes and policies, including guidance on using business systems. System monitoring to ensure standards are maintained from nomenclature to rate cards

- Managing the Workbook/Deltek relationship

- In the last 2 years I have run the end to end migration, training and support for the 10 Workbook offices in my region

- In the last 6 months I have been helping our sister WPP agency, Superunion in their implementation of Workbook

- I am currently planning the onboarding of Grey London and Grey Sweden on to our platform.

On joining AKQA I managed the resource pool across the International region ensuring it was shaped to meet current and predicted future client needs, meeting commercial targets of high utilisation and a cost-effective resource pool. I inherited the systems/data team across the region including reporting and management of Planview, our previous resource and project management system.
