The brief for this project was to produce the album artwork for a new album by electronic artist Curxes. Gilded Cage was the atmospheric follow up to Curxes 2015 studio album Verxes. This was a really fun project to work on and Roberta from the band and I went through several different ideas before finally coming up with what you see here. The one constant throughout each version was a central esoteric character, who would be intertwined into the narrative of each music video. For me, the character was a combination of ideas that I had been playing with over the past few years. I've always loved tv shows like The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone, and liked the idea that he didn't really exist in a physical sense, but could travel through television signals, collecting people on his way. We wanted to leave subtle hints to this in the artwork, without trying to explain too much. I like the simplicity of the cover, and how you can either take it at face value, or read a lot into it, like a painting.

The album was pressed in transparent orange vinyl and released in an edition of 500.
