ABOUT

Joined McLaren Automotive to continue development to a production standard and mastering for McLaren Senna.

Supporting in the definition and development of Marketing/ Show car specifications

Supporting engineering to deliver Validation Prototype cars on time and to the correct specification

Delivering and maintaining Design Intent Report for multiple programs, maintaining alignment with product marketing; assessing and finding cost down as well as proposals for complexity reduction

Development colour and material targets, masters and boundary as defined by studio, ensuring chosen materials meet McLaren testing specification (querying any that do not and working with suppliers and in-house quality teams to resolve this)

Supporting Quality to define limit samples as well as appearance approval for production parts

Creation of artwork including presentation boards, VRED renders, perforation/digital stitch/quilting patterns

Proposing changes to Trim Level Strategy where applicable and guiding implementation

Researching new Materials/ concept materials with suppliers for use on current and future programs

Significant knowledge of automotive/industrial colours and materials and manufacturing processes

Presentation skills to explain and express design intent, understanding of the brief and the end user

Understanding of parts/ materials with long lead times, working with engineering to create a plan for execution

Trend research to be ahead of trends on future projects

Understanding of manufacturing process and materials used on most of the vehicle including visible chassis and powertrain parts.
