Janine Smith is Head of Digital for Entertainment at ITV, responsible for the digital strategy and content for key brands including The Voice, Love Island, I'm a Celebrity, Dancing on Ice, Saturday Night Takeaway, Coronation Street & Emmerdale. Her remit covers a range of output including web content, social media, app development, branded content, podcasts and original programming on digital platforms.
A love of entertainment and a passion for digital has been at the heart of Janine's career; at Channel 4 as Entertainment Editor and Zodiak as Creative Director, plus recent work for Sky and Netflix. In addition, she's worked on the agency side bringing digital inspiration to brands such as British Airways and American Express. All this resulting in a range of award wins and nominations from BAFTAs to Webbys.
In her 20 years in the business she's also managed to squeeze in a sabbatical, spending a year in South America and Antarctica spotting whales and learning Spanish.
