I am currently seeking new employment and came across this fantastic opportunity. I have embarked on a varied career since graduating from university where I achieved a BA Hons 2:1 in International Relations and Peace Studies. I have found myself working as part of a team, delivering creative treatments to high street stores, solely managing a design production line, employing over 50 members of staff in a franchise operation, and navigating my way through self employment. I have picked up experience and traits along the way that have become invaluable keys to my success thus far. I am dependable and flexible, I have an eye for detail and a passion for design and illustration.

I think working as part of your team would be a great next step, I like to think I keep my eye on the pulse when it comes to noticing graphic trends and styles. I have worked for a company that produced the largest catalogue for stationary supplies in the UK, I have an intimate knowledge of InDesign. In addition to this, working in a print design and sign company helped me develop my knowledge of working for print. Especially as everything we produced usually had to be cut to certain size and often we printed large advertising material. An eye for detail and unscrupulous attention to noticing mistakes were key to my success in that role. I have a knowledge of web design design and development, having coded my own portfolio and freelance website from scratch, creating icons, imagery and content, utilising my knowledge of the Adobe creative suite. This required a workable knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. In my spare time I have created short films using Premier and animations with After Effects. Finally in a role that required experienced Photoshop knowledge, I edited and produced product shots for a website, implementing my knowledge of web ready graphics and images.

I think that I can bring ideas and a can do attitude to this role, I am a great team player but work just as well on solo projects. I will always endeavour to find a fresh and interesting way to complete a task. In regards to this specific role, I can utilise my experience in design, but can draw on specific experiences outside the design world, and specifically from varied sectors of society. If theres one thing you learn running a franchise business, it is that you need to go above and beyond to succeed. More importantly, you are the last port of call for questions and deadlines, being able to juggle that responsibility whilst still operating at a high level requires a great deal of competency teamed with adaptability. I believe I can approach any project you set me with vigour and interest. Being self employed at this point is great for inspiration, my mind is constantly thinking of new approaches to drive marketing approaches, or even for new prints and projects. At the same time, I truly believe once guidelines and standards are set, creativity can flourish and that's why I believe working in a structured environment such as in this role would be ideal.
