About me

Following on from university, I moved and worked in Nottingham and Toronto. Following on from working in Toronto, Canada for two years, I moved back to London. After gaining my education with a Batchelor of Science degree in Product Design, I trained as an athlete. I trained as a national level Ice Dancer at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham for two years, during which time I qualified as a coach in order to fund the training. I took part in the British Senior Championships, I then moved to Toronto to further my knowledge as a skater, coach and for some great experience, working with many people as both an athlete and a coach. This path came to an end as I feel I am now at the age to look to get back into my passion in the field of design and engineering.

During my time at university we used many programmes including the following:

- Word

- Excel

- Pro Engineer

- AutoCAD

- Mechanical Desktop

- Photoshop

- Project

- Solidworks

- Dreamweaver

Throughout my time as a student I worked in many different teams, with many different personalities. We took on different roles including team leader and also co-worker. We also worked individually, always taking the desired article from cradle to grave.

For the duration of my time as a coach, I was self-employed, therefore I had to promote myself in order to gain pupils, as well as performing my own financing/accounting and billing of the pupils, I also had to have a great use of time management in order to travel from rink to rink to perform the coaching. Canada can be quite difficult to travel around without personal transport. I also had to fit in 5-6 hours training daily. This took a very high level of discipline in many ways.
