About me
Catherine worked as a News Reporter for over 20 years with various newspapers in her native country - Dominica; these included 'The New Chronicle', 'Tropical Star', 'The Independent' and 'Mirror'. Catherine also worked with the Montserrat Reporter on Montserrat where her by-line, as in Dominica read: Helena Durand.
Catherine Dorsette currently resides on the Emerald Isle of Montserrat with her husband, two adult children and a precious granddaughter.
She is the recipient of two Fellowship Awards presented in Taiwan (1995) and in Japan (1997) when she visited as a Journalist.
To date Catherine Dorsette has published eleven (11) books and is currently working on her twelfth (12th)). Her first novel of the 'Fire on Montserrat Series' is being made into a feature film.
A devout Christian, Catherine Dorsette enjoys working with the youth in her community, discussing biblical themes, world events and issues affecting young people.
