Broken Doodle Automotive Concept Artist

ABOUT

Stage 2 kit. This is the LP 420 at its most outlandish. I had taken a few liberties with the first kit by adding the huge wing and chopping up the front, but this... this is something else. First things first, the paintjob. I wanted to see how one of my creations would look with a @ashthorp / @colorsponge look. I think I'm 80% there but I couldn't hold back on making it "mine". I got rid of all the color in the aero and turbofans, but I might bring it back for a V3? Second, and perhaps most important thing, the kit. I wasn't happy with just having the canards in the front. They felt a bit disconnected and the radiator wasn't making much sense either. The solution was a huge bosozoku style diffuser with a channel feeding into the underside of the car. Now the canards feel at home and the radiator makes a lot more sense. I also added an ever bigger wing to balance things out. I wanted to use the prisma glass material with the wire mesh from the V1 but clean acrylic looks so much better. I may bring back the polarized look for this car's swan song. The wing is attached to the underside of the rear and is now accompanied by an aggressive diffuser that I'm not sure would work right. Finally, I opened up the rear to let the engine breathe out a little. I didn't plan a specific powerplant for this car, but I knew the original wouldn't allow for the central driving position. I may add some more detail and light it better in the future.
