About me
Leyla Roy is a french-austrian producer and filmmaker. She was born in Paris, grew up in Vienna and travelled around the world before coming to Cologne where she did her bachelor at the international filmschool köln, in Germany. She is now based in Prague, and shooting around Europe.

Her filmculture is marked by the french nouvelle vague, the scandinavian dramas and the aesthetics of Almodovar's films. She has produced several short films and 1 feature film. All films are treating social-critical themes and are dealing with psychological issues. She keeps this focus in stories with human values when producing her films. The latest film she produced, "The Cello", premiered at the prestigious Tirana International Film Festival, and has received many international awards.
