ABOUT
BRIEF
Jane Grey, a professional dominatrix, approached WMH&I to create a premium brand identity that could elevate her status in a hidden but fiercely competitive category. The goal: attract high-value clients while redefining a misunderstood space.
CONTEXT
The dominatrix world is full of clichés—chains, latex, red and black. But Jane’s approach is different: psychological, emotional, and intelligent. She needed an identity to match. Not to shock, but to seduce.
INSIGHT
Jane’s clients are not looking for degradation, but transcendence. For them, surrender is not humiliation—it’s elevation. Emotionally intelligent, outwardly successful, they seek a domme who can guide them to self-actualisation. Only someone like Jane—part mistress, part mirror—can offer that journey.
CONCEPT
Bound by Jane.
A magnetic positioning that captures her emotional and psychological dominance. It became the foundation for an identity system that extended her power across every brand touchpoint.
EXECUTION
At the heart of the identity are “binds”—lines of text that wrap around the viewer, commanding submission. These phrases appear across photography, web, stationery and physical tools, reinforcing Jane’s influence. In photography, binds either dominate the submissive or emanate from Jane herself.
A minimalist monogram appears subtly across her world: embroidered into tights, stamped onto skin, etched into custom tools. A signature scent and immersive audio experience bring her brand to life across all senses.
A bespoke generator creates new “binds” for ongoing use, ensuring the brand evolves while maintaining control.
RESULTS
WMH&I and all its partners carried this work out pro bono to assist Jane to work more safely as an individual. Jane’s brand is no longer hidden. It’s hypnotic. Clients arrive already “under her spell”, referencing her identity in their first contact. It acts as both a filter and a beacon—attracting the right kind of attention, and giving permission to pursue deeper desires.
