About me

My most frequent work has been around the concept of web development and its applications to modern day technology. The pinnacle of my software engineering career, my dissertation, was a collective of Content/Stock Management, E-Commerce practice and statistical analysis of the key events in the system, all baked into a PHP framework, ready for the World Wide Web.
What I most enjoy about development, is finding a problem, investigating the scenario, and designing the most optimal solution with the available technologies. During my dissertation I secured a partnering with Barclaycard to implement their new payment system, getting some hands on with industry standard payment based code, and giving my evaluation back to the company.
During my last year at University, I also partook in the Barclaycard Challenge of March 2nd 2015 and March 3rd, where a team of myself and three others we given a problem, and 24 hours to solve it, and present the solution designed. The team I was part of won the challenge by working well together as a team, and demonstrating our clear problem solving skills. The solution made was a PHP web based system.
In my spare time I research and test iOS code platforms, especially the recent swift language. I hope to extend my portfolio greatly by including some basic app examples, and also a couple of commercial/professional app store approved projects. Outside of studies, I enjoy sports such as football, tennis, snooker as well as playing a vast array of games. Lastly, I value time spent with friends, and find great satisfaction meeting new people.
