Challenge

Aimmune’s mission is to improve the lives of people with food allergies, by developing desensitisation treatments to reduce the risk of allergic reactions.

Uber Digital worked in partnership with One Small Pixel to produce an engaging short animation to visualise a comprehensive report, sponsored by patient advocacy groups across Europe.

Concept

The concept was to include the introduction from the existing Aimmune’s live-action film, then transitioning into an illustration style with the key actors turning into animated caricatures.

We designed the visual style, core characters and key scene assets based on the supplied script. A vibrant colour scheme was adopted to grab the target audience’s attention, with a palette to compliment Aimmune’s branding.

The ability to create both the illustrations and animation in-house allows us to remain agile and respond rapidly to meet the tight deadline.

Outcome

The final video has been successfully presented at a series of events across Europe and helping Aimmune communicate the importance of the work they’re doing in the field. The visually engaging treatment allows the key messages to be broken down into simple memorable moments and explain the results from the first ever study of it’s kind to evaluate the impact of living with food allergies across Europe.
