Like other design and production studios, we recognise that we’re contributing to materials waste in the industry, whilst desperately wanting to create change. However, we’re not in a position to dismantle consumer systems overnight.

Many luxury brands use the fabric lightboxes that we make in-house as part of their seasonal retail campaigns. The materials must be durable and fire-retardant, making them non-biodegradable. The solution we’ve found to the waste created is to repurpose metres of these fashionable textiles into lightweight tote and weekend bags. The gorgeous patterned fabrics are artfully made into covetable new creations, thanks to a collaboration with our Coventry-based partner and pattern cutter, Creative Hubb Ltd.

We want to design and make for keeps by redistributing and repurposing, not just recycling. We all urgently need to address the end-of-life of the products we use, not just consider how things are sourced or made.
