ABOUT
DESIGN BRIEF
Firangi Superstar should feel less like a restaurant, more like a cinematic journey through India. Like a series of film sets as you travel from room to room, each one creating individual experiences. The food is progressive Indian, but this is not India; this is something entirely different, yet somehow seductively familiar. We need you to help us make Firangi feel like an episodic journey to another world, from branding to menus and everything in between.
DESIGN CHALLENGES
I worked with Firangi pre build, collaboratively creating a theme for each of the 4 rooms, 4 snippets of India; The Officers Club, The Railway Room, The Elephant Palace & The Jungle Lodge. There were two main challenges: One was ensuring the brand incorporated elements from each room to create an evocative but cohesive mark. The second was to bring to life the cinematic Firangi experience through collateral, all while ensuring every element felt harmonious.
DESIGN RESULTS
It's all in the detail. Upon arrival guests receive an ‘itinerary pack’ embellished with the FS brand mark that is packed full of characteristics from each room. Inside the pack: Superstar of India Newspaper/Food Menu, G&T Express Tickets/Gin Menu & Poison Manuscript/Cocktail Journal. No detail is spared on the Firangi journey. From the poison level in the cocktail journal, to the gin botanics cited as the ticket numbers. The more you look, the more you discover.
