For our 2017 Appeal we invited the great British public to put their own spin on making a difference.

Everybody has something they’re good at, something they enjoy doing or something they’ve always wanted to do. ‘Do Your Thing’ is about finding that thing and using it to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

The rousing proposition reflects the inventiveness of our most committed fans and broadens the scope for new supporters to get involved. With our help, they can turn their ideas into a fundraiser that will make a difference.

Kick-started by a series of stirring trailers, the campaign ran across BBC TV, national and local Radio, PR, Digital, Social and DM for over 6 weeks. Backing from 200 celebrities and a host of commercial partners saw momentum steadily build towards November’s flagship TV Appeal.

The results are still to come, but with a record-breaking total announced in November it looks to be one of the biggest years yet.
