ABOUT

8 million Colombians earning an average daily wage of $3.50 are not catered to by banks and cannot afford bank accounts. They are unable to get loans, have no formal means of payment, and have to hide their savings which leaves them exposed to crime.
The concept behind the campaign was to turn 13,000 cast iron payphones from the turn of the century into de facto digital banking terminals. This was done to assist Colombia’s lowest income class to be part of the country’s financial system.
