About me

I am a digital producer with over 9 years of experience in VFX, full CG animation, 2D traditional animation and video-games. As a result of this, I have a detailed understanding of the CG and VFX pipeline with a developed eye. I have found it to be entirely beneficial having started as a runner, and progressing through the roles to become Head of Production. This process has enabled me to learn how to deal with complex productions, high-pressured environments and tight deadlines, and to understand the challenges and main duties of every role in the production line.

In 2014, after having reached the highest level of the production structure in Spain (managing teams of more than 60 people and being responsible for bidding and budgeting),I decided, that in order to progress and work on higher profile projects it was necessary to relocate to London and prove myself within a larger VFX company. My experience working in modest, but still ambitious productions, where no money or time could be wasted has proven to be a very valuable asset.

Having a degree in Film, and having written and directed successful short films (one of them, "My Struggle", selected for the Oscars), helps me to connect with the artists also on a creative level. Also, understanding their tools and processes allows me to earn their respect, and most important, their trust. I have learnt how huge the difference is between imposing an unrealistic plan, and agreeing a reasonable one.

I truly believe scheduling, budgeting, and tracking skills are a must, but what really makes the difference is curating a strong team and work ethic: a film is a work of art made by hundreds of artists, so building a good team morale is essential. I can work extremely well under high pressure, always keeping high motivation, enthusiasm, good mood, and always enjoying and loving what I do.

My approach is simple: the more efficient we are, the more quality we can achieve within the same resources and time.
