‘Laymun’ is a stop motion, paper cut animation based in a war torn Middle Eastern city, where a woman fights violence and desolation with gardening. Inspired by real people, the plants and greenhouse symbolise the stuggle between life and death that she faces on a daily basis, an oasis for her and others, seemingly too good to last. Made in collaboration with Catherine Prowse.
