ABOUT
Driven by Legacy: The Road to Pebble explores what it takes to restore one of the world’s rarest cars for the renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. For over 50 years, LaVine Restorations has refined the art of bringing vintage masterpieces back to life—earning accolades like the coveted Best in Show award at Pebble in 1987.
In 2024, they take on a unique challenge: restoring a 1934 Packard 1108 Twelve by Dietrich, originally commissioned for trailblazing explorer Louise Arner Boyd. Now owned by Jack Boyd Smith, Jr., from the JBS Collection, this historic vehicle is meticulously rebuilt to grace the legendary 18th fairway at Pebble Beach. Watch to learn why this custom Packard is so special, how the LaVines have built a world-class business in rural Indiana, and what makes Pebble the most prestigious car show in the world
