About me

Background

Isis Alvarado has been involved in various backgrounds: she studied biology (focusing on marine creatures, evolution and statistics, specifically) in college, collaborated in an anthropology lab for a while, offered customer service in an airline company, tried obtaining an illustration diploma from a well known private institution in Madrid for a couple of years and worked as an english teacher in a couple of countries for almost ten years. She currently draws, paints and creates digital art of various types, by the artistic name fourtoeight.

Isis loves the following quote "I see colors like you hear bullets", which she got from the internet some time ago. She is fascinated by surreal imagery, pop culture, learning, colors, childish-like images, feelings, everyday objects, sea creatures, light and movement. She believes that the more people that sees her work, the better, and is committed to being creative so that she can continue developing different visual content lines within her own style.

I like to think of it like this because it allows me to create a wide variety of artwork. Being aware of the fact that art depends of both the artist that creates it and the artifact that it is created for, and that these two elements are not necessarily fixed, is a very powerful piece of information, especially for someone of the creative type.

The reason why i have chosen to create visual content is that images are a very good vehicle to deliver information. They can trigger memories, they can spark ideas or help establish links between them... Also, because i love drawing stuff.
