About me

I am pursing a career in brand strategy and service design. I recently completed an internship at Corke Wallis, which is brand strategy and service design agency. During this internship, I helped analyse existing websites for a property developer, research existing AI products for a startup, and created a wireframe for the website of a new innovation hub.

I completed my MSc Development Studies at the London School of Economics last year. Throughout my studies at LSE, I have received world-class teaching and achieved a strong understanding of many development, economic, political, humanitarian and global issues. I wrote many essays, read many papers and I gave many class presentations during my degree; this taught me how to communicate well verbally and written.

During my postgraduate degree, I was part of a student-led team that organised a two-day research and business conference called LSE Africa Summit. The summit engaged with business leaders, policy-makers and academics in debates concerning the opportunities and challenges facing Africa. I was the In-house Graphic Designer and a member of the Media and Communications team. I was in charge of the graphics branding of the summit and designed the banners, posters and advertisements for our media partners. I also currently use photography and design for volunteering. One of the organisations I am working is with the UNDP office in Bangkok. I have created infographics for their Data4Peace initiative and redesigned the layout for their documents.

I have a strong quantitative analysis background. During my masters at LSE, I took two courses on Economic Development. One of the Economic courses was Applied Policy Analysis for Macroeconomic Development and the other was Government Policy Analysis. In both these courses, I read many papers on theoretical and quantitative empirical research, and I learnt how to analyse and critique them. In my undergraduate dissertation, I used a quantitative method to analyse whether there is a correlation between China's foreign aid to African countries, and African countries' exports to China. For this dissertation, I taught myself how to use the statistical package SPSS and worked independently on the statistical side of my research, as my dissertation supervisor had no background in quantitative methods.

I have experience working in an office setting. In the summer of 2013, I had an internship with the microfinance organisation, Opportunity International, in their office in Oxford. During this work experience, I was in charge of organising the Microfinance teaching materials they used in their Microfinance branches across the developing world. Much of their training materials were scattered across many different folders and platforms. I created a well-organised, clear and intuitive folder system for them to easily access the different materials. I created a detailed spreadsheet providing information on what materials are used in which office.
