Ah yes, the mission statement. In time-honoured '5 good reasons' fashion:
1 To keep getting better.
2 To remain open to new ways of thinking.
3 To never say of my own work "that's rubbish" without rectifying it.
4 To fly the flag for great writing, based on knowing the rules, applying them and breaking them
where appropriate.
5 To play saxophone in my fantasy band (Jimi Hendrix & Robert Fripp guitars, Grace Slick vocals,
Miles Davis trumpet, Irmin Schmidt keys, Jack Bruce bass, Bill Bruford drums). Yeah, right.
