About me

Andrea Borlo is a 3D Artist working in the Vfx business for almost 20 years, specializing in modeling, lighting and look development. After graduating in Science of Communication in 1994, he started his career as a generalist, freelancing in some of the major visual effects facilities of Milano the like of Maga, Eyelike, Too Much, Disney Academy, Square, Truth is Illusion, and Rumblefish. At Mediacube Studios in 2001 he quickly became a Lead Modeling Artist working on Hollywood movies like "Fear Dot Com" and "Flying Virus". After leaving Mediacube in 2006 he landed at "Lazytown" in Iceland working as a CG Lead and Senior Modeler for the acclaimed Tv series which won a Baftha Award. His professional work can be seen in many commercials, most notably Lancia, Sector, Volkswagen, Chicco, Otomelara and many others. He has been teaching at Naba as Head of 3D Department since 1998 where he has helped hundreds of students to find their way in the complex world of Vfx development.
