About me

I matriculated from high school in the year 2002 from Glenwood Boys High in Durban.
Attending high school art was my favorite subject and motivated me to study fine art after high
school. Well, that didn't go to plan. I ended up studying architecture at DUT and UJ. I didn't
continue with architecture because it was not my passion. I love creating ideas and challenging
myself regarding my creative space. I decided to venture into graphic design because I love art,
graffiti, history, and creative thinking inspired me to get involved in the creative world.

I studied at Boston Media House in Sandton from . After my attempt at studying
architecture, it was difficult to adjust to my graphic design course. I managed to succeed and
learn about Graphic Design, Illustration, Web, Creative Thinking, Art History, Typography,
Photography, Entrepreneur, Marketing, Communication and Advertising. During my studies I
had an opportunity do an internship at Ebony Ivory.

After Boston Media House, I started my first job at Idea Engineers in 2011. I have acquired
experience and skills while working at IE. What I gained through my experience, I gained skills
on DTP and learned to submit approved print ads via Adsend to different publications. Layout
billboards, POS, posters, flyers, packaging/labels with die cuts and submit final hires pdf to
printers. I also gained Graphic Design, Motion Graphic skills and experience for digital social
media, digital banners by creating animated gifs or statics. I also design emailers and convert
them to XHTML. I have 12 years of experience and during my experience I enjoyed, learned,
and gained skills working with the Creative, PR, Marketing and Social Media team. I have the
skills and qualities to match the job description and perform highly in the role.

I completed a course at Red & Yellow Creative Business School in 2021. I studied User Centered
Design (UCD). This course taught me to identify problems and solve solutions for users and
understand how a digital product can interact with users. I learned about design thinking
process, design steps, interaction design principles and more. I had to understand how these
process, steps and principles interact with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI),
when designing a website and application on UX Adobe.
